For many years I've recommended some of this unique and varied style of music among your favorites to help with regular calm, healthy self-time, relaxing, studying, reading, working, healing, or just breaking any silence in any of your peaceful abodes at times. They have free anytime accounts and free mobile apps to try it out, then multiple plans for membership. Listen at a low volume on one of your laptop browser tabs, your phone, tablet, whatever, with headphones if needed. π§
Hearts of Space radio program grew out of former architect Stephen Hill's fascination with space-creating, ambient and contemplative music. Beginning in 1973, Hill HoSted a weekly late-night radio program on KPFA-FM in the San Francisco Bay area. What began purely as a labor of love eventually became the most popular contemporary music program on public radio. Over the intervening quarter century, Hearts of Space evolved into a multifaceted music and broadcast producer encompassing radio syndication, a record company, and now an Internet music service. π«
Wow I love this music. I was just in India last year but only experienced the busy streets in Tamil Nadu in Chennai, and also the Russian-pupulated state of Goa π I did hear a few authentic music but the more upbeat modern ones. Thank you for sharing this lovely clip ππ½
I just got back from a week-long trip to a remote village in the mountains of Washington. Life moved at a slower pace there. Here are some of my favorite photos capturing the calm π
How funnyβI actually have a sign at home that says βDisconnect to connectβ. I couldnβt help but smile when I read your note. The photos are absolutely beautiful, and everything you shared resonates deeply. What a gift to experience that slower pace, rooted in the essentials.
